New ETAs for BIOCLIMA® ClimaWall® Systems: Upgrades and Innovations

ETA CERTIFICATION

After a long period of testing, evaluation, and technical procedures, BIOCLIMA® announces the issuance of new European Technical Assessments (ETAs) for the ClimaWall® External Thermal Insulation Systems by BIOCLIMA®.

The new ETAs fully replace the previous ones and now offer even more benefits for both professionals and end users. With the new certifications and technical upgrades, they ensure higher energy efficiency, improved fire resistance, enhanced weather durability, and increased sound insulation (BIOCLIMA® is now the first company with measured sound reduction performance), contributing to buildings with greater safety, comfort, and longevity. At the same time, the expanded range of materials and coatings provides design flexibility and adaptability to every architectural and technical requirement - reaffirming BIOCLIMA®’s steadfast commitment to innovation and sustainable construction.

 

Upgrades and New Features by System

ClimaWall® Classic

The ClimaWall® Classic system has been enhanced with new options and improved features:

  • New mesh options have been added for greater flexibility and adaptability to project requirements.

  • Fire reaction characteristics have been added for ClimaTop® Basic combinations.

  • ClimaTop® Elite has been introduced - an ultrafine plaster for exceptionally smooth surfaces over ClimaTop® Classic, with a fire reaction classification of B,s1-d0 when used with Strong Bond as a basecoat.

  • A new ClimaTop® Silica+ silicate-based plaster has been added, also achieving a B,s1-d0 fire reaction rating when combined with Strong Bond.

 

ClimaWall® Extra

The ClimaWall® Extra system has been upgraded with improvements that enhance safety and performance:

  • The system’s fire reaction classification has been upgraded to B,s1-d0, increasing fire resistance and application safety.

  • New mesh options have been added, offering more choices based on the project’s technical requirements.

 

ClimaWall® Mineral

The ClimaWall® Mineral system features extensive upgrades and new certifications:

  • A new Mineral Plus insulation board has been introduced, offering improved mechanical performance.

  • The ClimaTop® Silica+ silicate plaster has been integrated. Fire reaction performance with Strong Bond and Flex Bond has been tested, achieving A2,s1-d0 and A2,s2-d0 respectively.

  • New mesh options have been added for greater technical flexibility.

  • New wind load tests were conducted with the Mineral Plus insulation board, enhancing system reliability under various application conditions.

  • For the first time, sound insulation measurements have been carried out, confirming the system’s effectiveness in improving acoustic comfort.
