The international organization EcoVadis evaluated the practices of the Greek Druckfarben Group in the field of sustainable development and rewarded its environmental, social, and labour commitments based on its business model and overall strategy.

Druckfarben Group, which has in its portfolio the popular brands KRAFT Paints and BIOCLIMA®, was awarded the Silver Medal by EcoVadis for its sustainable business practices and commitment to sustainability. This is an important distinction that underlines in an emphatic way the successful course that the group is following, not only in terms of financial indicators but also in relation to the E.S.G. (Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance) strategy that it is carefully following.

EcoVadis is regarded as the most trusted international certifier for corporate sustainability assessment and is a global benchmarking standard, as it analyses 21 criteria categorized into four key pillars: environment, labour practices and human rights, business ethics, and sustainable procurement. As an indication of its prestige, more than 85,000 companies have been assessed by EcoVadis so far, all over the world. Its assessment is based on independent international standards such as the United Nations Global Compact Principles, the International Labour Organization (ILO) Conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI Standards), and ISO 26000.

With this distinction, the group is among the top 25% of companies evaluated globally in its industry. One of the pillars with a rather high performance was "environment," due to the group’s orientation towards sustainability. The group's performance in the pillars "labor practices and human rights" and "sustainable procurement" was also excellent, given its comprehensive action plan that encourages transparency, fairness, and equality in each area of activity.

The CEO of Druckfarben Group, Georgios Karavasilis, after giving credit to the teamwork and efforts of all employees, said: "Our award is a practical demonstration of our commitment to sustainable business development and encourages us to continue to improve our practices for the benefit of the environment, our people, and the whole society. ESG principles have become part of our corporate culture and are embedded in our values, which, on the occasion of the award, makes us proud and motivates us for the future."
