ClimaRoof® & Subsystems
BIOCLIMA® ClimaRoof® is an innovative, lightweight, thermal & water insulation system for flat roofs (terraces). It is the fruit of the collaboration between two leading groups in the construction materials sector: KRAFT Paints and FIBRAN.
BIOCLIMA® ClimaRoof® comprises specific sequences of thermal insulating, adhesion and waterproofing layers; these are applied in discreet phases on building terraces, thus offering proven shielding against water and thermal ingress, combined with the least possible load burden to the structure.
Subject to the existence of acceptable drainage gradients on a terrace, BIOCLIMA® can suggest the following 2 variants (sub-systems) of the ClimaRoof® system.

In case admissible gradients are generally available on the terrace, we suggest the following sequence of material coats.

Β. Case of terraces lacking drainage gradient
In case admissible gradients are not available on the terrace, we suggest considering the application of the following sequence of material layers. In essence, the variation of this system focuses on the implementation of a stepped surface forming a layer of thermal insulation boards on the surface of the terrace with a fixed 1cm thickness difference between consecutive boards. This will be subsequently smoothed by complete coverage of special inclined thermal insulation boards on top of the preceding insulation layer (ClimaRoof KF XPS Incline).
